Choosing the right Cleanse for you

Here are some great tips from our Nutrition Coach at Fit It In Fitness, Melinda Osbourne.
This time of year brings upon a lot of interest in "cleansing" the system.
After all of the Holiday cheats and the year behind you, most want to start "anew."
What better way than the 7-day Nutri-Cleanse....

What to look for in a Colon Cleanse

Choosing the right cleanse is a personal matter depending on how much TIME, MONEY and EFFORT you want to invest.

When choosing a colon cleanse there are a few things you need to pay close attention to: time requirements, quality of ingredients and reputation.

An herbal colon cleanse will gently stimulate the digestive tract to expel old waste and absorb toxins for a smooth cleansing experience. Be sure to pick one that will cleanse the liver, small intestine and colon all at the same time.

The daily time requirements on how long it is going to take are also very important.  If it’s too time-consuming; than you will either never do it, or you will stop half way through; neither is effective!

You want a cleanse that recommends eating a diet of vegetables, fruits and lean protein and stays away from alcohol, caffeine, oils and dairy products.  This is so you do not put added stress on the organs while cleansing.

It is also very important to have a contact/support person you can call or email for guidance with questions and concerns while cleansing.

For the reasons stated above Fit It In Fitness and CPTE recommend the Nutri-Clean 7-day Cleansing and Detoxification System.

  1. I am very interested in doing a cleanse because of how awesome people feel after they've completed one... but I find it very difficult since I'm a picky eater. There are very few fruits and vegetables that I like, and I also have issues with getting a variety of proteins. Do you have any suggestions for this type of situation?

  2. I've done a cleanse and highly recommend it. It's amazing how much crap we put in our system. I did one a little over a year ago and was amazed by what I didn't miss and what I had lost a taste for. It is a challenge....but the results are great!

  3. I did the seven day cleanse and that worked out well, my only advise is to make sure you plan ahead and have pleanty of food recipes and the right food on-hand.
